Thomas Jackson “Tommy” Ezell, 78, of Athens passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015, at his home surrounded by family. Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Funeral services will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel.
Tommy was born October 25, 1936. He graduated from West Limestone High School in 1954 and attended the University of Alabama. He retired from Teledyne Brown Engineering after 38 years. He was currently employed at McConnell Funeral Home where he served part-time and full-time for over 59 years. He loved to fish, work in the yard and piddle in his workshop.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Mabel Ezell and his brother, Billy Wayne Ezell.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Elinor Agee Ezell; two daughters, Beth Andrews and Jackie Pack, both of Athens; one grandson, Greg Pack of Charlotte, North Carolina; and three little furry grandbabies, Maggy, Harlow and Mittens.
