Berlene Hacker, age 80, of Sheffield, AL.; passed away Saturday, March 21, 2015. Visitation will be Monday, March 23, 2015 from 6-9 PM at Colbert Memorial Chapel. Service will be Tuesday, March 24, 2015 in the Chapel. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Sheffield; AL. Brett Pittman will be officiating.
He is preceded in death by parents Eugene and Florence Hacker, mother of children, Willie Mae Hacker, brothers; Verlon Hacker, Gayleard Hacker, sisters; Eva Wellig, Louise Bohannon, Lorene King, Meathel Franks.
Survivors are son Roger Hacker (Alicia), daughters; Brenda Williams (Terry), Regina Mifflin (Gary), brother; Cleveland Hacker, sisters; Dora Pounders, Hazel Fierro, Doris Okerblom, Jewell Powell, Juanita Bugge and Lynn Reams.
Pallbearers will be Andy Mifflin, Bradley Mifflin, Jason Williams, Jim King, Bill Davis, and Lee Nesbitt.
Special thanks to the staff and nurses at Helen Keller Hospital and JW Sommer Rehab unit, and to longtime friend and physician Dr. Brad McAnanley. He was a loving father and grandfather.
