William Merrell Sims, Jr., 40, Haleyville, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at his residence.
William served his country in the U.S. Marines.
The visitation will be 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 23, 2015 at Spry Memorial Chapel, Russellville. The funeral will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Bro. Billy Burks officiating. Burial will be at Old Macedonia Cemetery, Haleyville.
He was predeceased by his father, William Merrill Sims, Sr., and his mother, Debra Jean Ballad Sims; and infant son.
He is survived by his children, Brad Sims, Samantha Sims, Megan Sims; brother, Bobby Sims, extended family and special friends, T.J. Johnson, Dewayne Johnson, Melissa Hamrick, Virginia Southern, Billy Burks, and Jessica Gates.
