Sherman O’Neal Hubbard, 76, died Monday, March 16, 2015, at the Red Bay Hospital. He was born in Mississippi and was retired from Day-Brite Lighting, Tupelo, Mississippi, after 25 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of Red Bay Free Will Baptist Church.
Services will be Thursday, March 19, at 2 p.m. at Red Bay Free Will Baptist Church with Brother Steve Lindsay and Brother David Corum officiating. Burial will be in Red Bay City Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, Alabama, will be in charge of arrangements.
Survivors are his wife of 56 years, Peggy Orick Hubbard, Golden, Mississippi; two sons, Jeff Hubbard (Sherri) and Jerome Hubbard, all of Red Bay, Alabama; two grandchildren, Sierra Hubbard and Zachary Hubbard; and one sister, Betty Hammock (Ed) Red Bay, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Truman Edward Hubbard and Ollie Ester Mink Hubbard, and a baby brother, Charles Hubbard.
Pallbearers will be Freddie Harden, Terry Bates, Holt Hubbard, Kenny Holland, Allen Wood, and Gary Lindsey.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 19, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Red Bay Free Will Baptist Church.
