Martine Leburn LaVasser, 64, of Madison passed away Sunday at her residence. Mrs. LaVasser was a native of Belgium and was a Special Education Teacher for the Decatur City School System. Survivors include her husband: Gary LaVasser; one son: Andrew (Lesley) LaVasser; one daughter: Tania (Mitch) Olive; five grandchilden: Savannah LaVassser, Ethan LaVasser, Conner Olive, Meghan Olive and Gaby Olive and one brother: Michael Leburn. A memorial mass will be held Thursday at 11:30 at St. John The Baptist Catholic Church. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
