Helen S. Woodbury, age 85,passed away Friday, March 13, 2015 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Mrs. Woodbury was born August 14, 1929 in Camden, NJ to Helen R. Spangler and Earnest E. Spangler. She graduated from Orlando Jr. College and attended Rollins College in Winter Park, FL. Mrs. Woodbury moved to Huntsville in 1963 from Orlando/ St. Cloud, FL where she and her husband were owners/operators of a cattle ranch. She was a resident of Huntsville for over 50 years. She was a retired secretary/bookkeeper from SCI, Huntsville City Schools and Priority Temps, all of Huntsville. She was a life-long member of the Episcopal Church and w s a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church and Pathway Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband: Merrill M. Woodbury; son: William (“Woody”) M. Woodbury and great-granddaughter: Mia Trevino. Three children survive her: Barbara A. Trevino and Jeffrey A. Woodbury of Huntsville and Robert L. Woodbury of Charlotte, NC; eight grandchildren: Sherry L. Sharp, New Market, Al, Thomas M. Woodbury, Toney, AL, Gregory A. Woodbury, Allison Ledbetter, Jeffrey D. Woodbury of Huntsville, Al, Taylor A. Woodbury of Charlotte, NC, Christopher M. Trevino of Saratoga Springs, UT and Jason M. Trevino, Temecula, CA and seventeen great-grandchildren. There will be no memorial or funeral services. Mrs. Woodbury will be cremated. Berryhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
