Roger Keith Jeffreys, of Town Creek, Alabama, was born June 7, 1946 and died March 9, 2015. He was 68. He was born in Lawrence County, Alabama. He died at Helen Keller Hospital, Sheffield, Alabama. He was a retired operator with Robbins.
He is survived by daughters, Brenda Jeffreys, Springfield, Illinois, and Billie Jo Hood (Brandon), Hatton, Alabama; stepson, Andy Dawson, Jackson, Tennessee; stepdaughter, Crystal Montes-Torres, Decatur, Alabama; grandsons, Detric Mitchell, Springfield, Illinois, Davonta Mitchell, Springfield, Illinois, and Tyler Hood, Hatton, Alabama; granddaughter, Chloe Hood, Hatton, Alabama; brother, Deryal Jeffreys (Syble), Colbert County, Alabama; and sisters, Dorothy Smith (Henry), Hatton, Alabama, and Glenda Harrison (Randy), Hatton, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by father, Lelon Jeffreys, mother, Vera Copeland Jeffreys, and stepson, James Dawson.
Roger was a member of Providence Baptist Church.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2015, at Lawrence Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Bertis Ray is officiating. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
