JohnathanJohnathan Heath Atkisson, 29 of Double Springs, entered into rest Friday, March 6, 2015.

Heath was born on September 27, 1985 in Florence, Alabama. He attended Central High School in Florence, Alabama and was employed by Breed Construction. He enjoyed fishing, carpentry, building mantels and watching racing. He also loved his children.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 from 6-8pm at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Double Springs, where services will be held on Wednesday at 2pm. Brother Jack Thomason will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.

Heath is survived by his father, Tommy Atkisson and his wife Tammy; mother, Mechell Neal and her husband James; son, Jacob Eathon Ivie; daughter, Gracelynn Renee Atkisson; step-sisters, Ashley Brewer, Brittany Brewer; grandmothers, Joe Ann Durham, Loretta Smith; and a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Lesley Neil Durham, Roy Lee Atkisson; great grandparents, Perry Joe and Eva Mae Batchelor; Efrid and Ester Durham, Fain and Charlsie McWilliams, and Walter and Laura Atkisson.
