Nell Lee – Obituary

Nell Lee, 71, of Muscle Shoals, AL, went to be with her Lord and savior on March 6, 2015, after an extended battle with cancer. She kept her faith and fought a good fight. Her words were “I’m a winner either way.”

Visitation will be March 8 at 6:00 till 8:00 PM at Colbert Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, Hwy. 43 South, Tuscumbia, AL.

The service will be in the funeral home chapel March 9 at 2:00 with Brother Roger Bond and Gary McGee officiating. Burial will follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Oakdale Baptist Church members.

She was preceded in death by her father James Alvin Green and nephew Kevin Cordele Green.

She is survived by her husband James Lee of 55 years, her mother Irene (Green) Bentley of Tuscumbia, Two sons, Randal “Randy” Lee (Bettina) of Leighton, Earl Lee of Barton. One daughter, Angelia Lovelady (James) of Barton, Five brothers, James Green of Colbert Heights, Travis Green (Pam) of Russellville, Harold Green (Charlotte) of Tuscumbia, Kenneth Green of Tuscumbia, Jerry Green (Angie) of Greenhill, Three sisters, Paulene Thomas of Liberty S.C., Charlene Montgomery (Earl “Peanut”) of Sheffield, Linda Dodson of Sheffield. Four grandchildren, Lynn Creasy (Randi) of Barton, Stephanie and Tyler Lee, James Smith (Chancey).

Five great grandchildren, Austin Jacob and Jerod Creasy, Braidon and Jamison Smith.

She was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church in Florence where her husband pastored for many years. She was a devoted church member, a devout Christian, a supportive wife, a loving and caring grandmother.

She repeatedly said, “I’m not worried about me, I’m not afraid, I know where I’m going, I just don’t want to leave my family”.

The love and support shown by family shown by family, friends and church members has greatly been appreciated.
