Funeral services for Ms. Doris Jowers, age 83, are scheduled for 1 PM, Sunday, March 8, 2015 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. Interment will follow in Lexington Cemetery. Ms. Jowers passed away early Wednesday in Lexington. She was born October 8, 1931 in Lexington to the late Belton and Mary Blankenship Franklin. She was a dietician and a member of Ellendale Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Clyde Jowers; one son, Clyde Edward Jowers; one daughter, Nancy Gail Smith; and three brothers, John, Allen, and Robert Franklin. Survivors include her son-in-law, Bill Brewer; one sister, Evelyn Reeves; four grandchildren, Ben Steele, Amber (Guy) Potter, Samantha Brewer, and Brian Hudson; and one great grandson, Eli Reid Hudson.
