Young Un Son, 89, of Madison, passed away Saturday. He was on the police force in Korea, and came to the United States in 1973 at the age of 48. He was a founding member and elder of Huntsville Korean Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Duk Yi Son; children, Kun Ju Son and wife, Jung Oak Son, of New Haven, CT, Jung Ju Curtin and husband, Greg, of Decatur, Sook Son Mellen and husband, John, of Madison, and Joung K. Batson and husband, Paul, of Madison; grandchildren, Justina Clark and husband, Dick, of Lincoln, NE, Jana Harlow and husband, Josh, of Bremerton, WA, Paul Mellen of Atlanta, GA, Eric Mellen of Madison, and Stephen Mellen, of Atlanta, GA, and Zach, Sydney and Avery Batson, all of Madison; great-grandchildren, Charlie and Eva Clark of Lincoln, NE, and Nyna and Braydon Harlow, both of Bremerton, WA.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 2 at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Muong Soap No officiating. Burial will be in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
