Gwen Messer, 79 of Phil Campbell, entered into the presence of Almighty God our Father on Feb. 27, 2015 at Helen Keller Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband C.B. Messer, Jr.
She is survived by her three children; Sonja Messer, Virginia Lind Burks and husband, Jerome, Bryan J. Messer and wife, Tammie; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
She was member of Mountain View Baptist Church. She is a retired teacher from Marion County Board of Education with 22 years of service.
The family will receive friends Sunday, March 1, 2015, 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Mountain View Baptist Church. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. with Bro. Sammy Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery with Order of the Eastern Star service.
