Linda League Benson, 72, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, W.A. “Arthur” League, Sr. and Nettie Reed League; brother, John W. “Billy” League and sister Jean League Smith. Mrs. Benson is survived by her husband, Johnny M. Benson, Sr., daughter, Tammie Benson Frankenfield; son, Johnny “Mack” Benson, Jr. and wife Anissa; brothers, Harold R. League and wife Rita; W.A. “Bud” League, Jr.; sisters, Helen League Cobb and Joyce League Mitchell; also five grandchildren, Tiffany Frankenfield, Autumn Benson, Amberlee Benson, Tessa Frankenfield and Johnny Mack Benson III. Visitation will be Saturday, February 14, 2015 from 1:00pm until 3:00pm at Murphy Hill Baptist Church followed by a funeral service at 3:00pm at Murphy Hill Baptist Church, 626 Murphy Hill Rd. Toney, Alabama. Burial will follow at Murphy Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
