Margaret Walton Thrasher, 82, died Friday, February 6, 2015, at Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center. She was born October 4, 1932, to Charlie and Molly Raper Walton. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Mantachie. She was a homemaker and enjoyed working word searches and watching The Andy Griffith Show. She enjoyed her granddaughter’s activities.
Services will be at 2 p. m. Sunday, February 8, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Dr. John Adams and Dr. Kenneth Pollock officiating. Burial will be in Stephens Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Kenneth Thrasher (Lori) of Cherokee, Iowa; one daughter, Brenda Odom of Marietta; four grandchildren, a special granddaughter Savannah Odom, and Kendra, Kayla, and Caleb Thrasher; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Emma Walton and Nancy Walton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Thrasher; her parents; two brothers; and two sisters.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Foster, John Graham, Rian Botts, Lee Loden, James Kitchens, and Donald Moore.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p. m. Saturday, February 7, at the funeral home
