TUSCUMBIA– Aunt Bea’s Bakery and Bistro located 107 East Sixth Street in historic downtown Tuscumbia celebrated a grand re-opening on Tuesday, February 3rd. After the tornado that hit Tuscumbia last year Aunt Bea’s building was damaged.
On Tuesday they celebrated a rebirth of sorts as not only are they serving yummy baked goods they now will be serving sandwiches for the lunch crowd. The Shoals Chamber was on hand to help with the celebration with a ribbon cutting.
Here is just a little of what Aunt Bea’s Bakery and Bistro has to say :
“Aunt Bea’s opened its doors in historic downtown Tuscumbia, Alabama in May 2013 and has been a proud member of the Chamber since. Unfortunately, four months ago, the store suffered significant damage from the tornado that struck the Shoals and we had to close our doors. It was a very sad day, but there is always a brighter side. We are proud to announce that Aunt Bea’s is coming back even stronger than ever before.
