Daniel “Danny” Porter, 57, of Decatur, died Tuesday, February 3, 2015. He was born April 1, 1958, in St. Petersburg, Florida, to Daniel and Martha Porter.
He will be laid to rest Friday, February 6, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Heavens Gate in St. Petersburg.
Mr. Porter was a clinical psychologist for children and adults. He worked in homeless fields and provided safe homes for the abused. Daniel loved all his friends and family. He devoted his life to others. May you all continue to use the tools in life Daniel showed you. “Fear no evil for thou aren’t with you.” He was preceded in death by his son, Keevan Daniel Porter.
Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Mary Catherine; one son, Matthew “Todd” Porter; and his longtime friends and companions, Todd and Brandy Emerson.
Honorary friends will be Curtis Todd, Brandy Emerson, Ray Carpenter II and Grace Woodall. May you continue to let Daniel guide you from the heavens above.
