Mrs. Joyce Louise Highfield, age 80 of Centre, passed away Monday February 2nd at her residence.
Funeral services will be 3 PM Thursday, February 5th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Doyle Kerr, Ronnie Highfield and Steven Beam officiating; burial will follow in Old Nazareth Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 PM Thursday.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
Survivors include sons, Johnny (Tannie) Highfield of Piedmont, David (Leslie) Highfield of Piedmont, Sammy (Terina) Highfield of McCords Crossroads; brother, Carl Bowman of McCords Crossroads; sister, Pauline (Robert) Evans of Newberry Crossroads; daughter-in-law, Diane Highfield of Rome, GA; grandchildren, Valerie (Steven) Beam of Ranburn, Jason (Amber) Miller of Piedmont, Cliff (Jessica) Highfield of McCords Crossroads, Joni (Craig) McMurray of Forney, Demi Highfield of Piedmont, Zack Highfield of McCords Crossroads, Haley Highfield of McCords Crossroads, Jared Roddam of McCords Crossroads, James Highfield, Patricia Highfield, Jordan Hope Highfield all of Rome, GA; 11 great grandchildren; many nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John “Sambo” Highfield; son, Ricky Highfield; grandson, Joseph Highfield; brothers, G.B., Billy and S.C. Bowman.
Mrs. Highfield was a native of Cherokee County, the daughter of the late Ira Preston and Ethel Coheley Bowman and was a member of Old Nazareth Baptist Church.
