Calvin J. Benson was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on August 1, 1943 the son of the late Ollie Arlin and Mary Agnes Highland Benson.
Mr. Benson worked for Irby Construction for 8 years. He was a member of Walnut Grove Church of Christ. Mr. Benson enjoyed riding and raising horses, growing flowers and coon hunting.
He departed this life on January 21, 2015 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 71 years, 5 months and 20 days.
Mr. Benson is survived by his children, Teresa Burcham, Ronnie Benson, Terry Benson and Kenneth Shane Benson, all of Savannah, Tennessee.

Mr. Benson is also survived by his former wife, Caroline Doyle of Savannah, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Roberts, one brother, James Junior Benson and one grandchild, Stephanie Benson.
