Juan B. Manchego, 79, of Harvest, passed away Wednesday. Mr. Manchego was born in Ocate, New Mexico. After serving in the U.S. Army, he worked for the U.S. Army Missile Command and retired after 33 years of service. He was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Minnie Manchego; children, Chris Manchego and wife, Jan, of Ardmore, Mike Manchego of Harvest, Kelly Manchego Crase of Nashville, TN and Ray Gomez of Las Cruces, NM; grandchildren, Jordan Manchego, Santana Manchego, Bryce McGuire, Elena Crase, Rachael Crase, Ray Gomez, Jr., Richard Gomez and Cipriano Gomez; two brothers, two sisters; and many loving nieces, nephews, and family friends.
A memorial service will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Madison at 1 p.m. Friday, January 23 with Deacon Greg Thompson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
