Betty Cummings, age 75, of Muscle Shoals, died Monday, Jan. 19, 2015. Visitation will be Thursday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. with Jim Cummings officiating. Burial will be in Harris Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Cummings was a native of Cherokee and a member of Parkview Baptist Church. Mom was a lady who deeply loved Jesus and her family with actions as well as words.
She is survived by her son, Jim Cummings and wife, Vikki, brother, Johnny Durham and wife, Lucy, and a number of grandchildren and other relatives.
Pallbearers are Wally Poss, Kenneth Beasley, Clifford Pope, Scot Farris, Jimmy Puckett, and Casey Hagle.
Her family expresses special thanks to Dr. Kenneth Rose and to the staff at Cottage of the Shoals Rehabilitation Deptartment for their excellent care.
