Julie Mullins Blackwell August 21, 1962 – January 13, 2015 Macon, GA Julie Blackwell, age 52, died Tuesday, January 13, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. Her unwavering faith in Jesus Christ allowed her to battle the cancer for over 8 years. She maintained a positive attitude throughout and continued to put other’s needs before her own. Julie was born in Presque Isle, Maine to the late Fred Mullins and Helen Stanley Mullins. She was a devoted wife and mother who homeschooled all four of her children. She was very proud that all four went on to college and she was able to see three of them graduate. She adored her two grandchildren and spent as much time with them as she could whenever she was able. Julie was preceded in death by her father, Fred Mullins. She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Jed Blackwell and their four children; Jessica Berryhill (Daniel) of Perry, Jeremiah Blackwell, Josiah Blackwell, and Jenna Blackwell all of Macon, her mother Helen Stanley Mullins of Priceville, AL, two grandchildren; Arden and Leslie Berryhill of Perry, her brother, Ron Mullins (Sandy) of Lafayette, CO and her sister Jane Swearengin (Larry) of Decatur, AL. A graveside service to celebrate Julie’s life will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 12:00 pm in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens with Reverend Mike Parker officiating.
