Dorothy H. Monroe, 79, of Garden City Beach, SC, formerly of Charlotte, NC, passed away Wednesday. Mrs. Monroe was a loving mother and grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband, Duncan C. Monroe, Sr; daughter, Gwyn Plummer; and son, Duncan C. Monroe, Jr.
Survivors include children, Dianne M. Caldwell (John) and Mickey Klimaitis; grandchildren, Erin and Justin Shaver, Heather and Jeb Stricklin, Kelly Gonzalez, and Rick and Julia Caldwell; and 7 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel, 11528 Highway 17 bypass, Murrells Inlet, SC on Friday, January 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.
