William Frank Stephens, 85, of Huntsville, passed away Wednesday. Mr. Stephens was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Frank Stephens; parents, Marion and Mary Stephens; sisters, Patricia Richardson and Faye George; and brother, Billy Stephens.
He was a lifelong member of East Highland Church of Christ where he served as an elder for 38 years. Mr. Stephens was also a U.S. Air Force veteran and retired from Dunlop Tire and Rubber Corp. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty Burkett Stephens; son, Mark Stephens (Donna); daughter, Beth Phillips (Nancy); five grandchildren: Melissa (Cody), Whitney, Zachery, Matthew, and Jacob; great-grandchild, Colton; sister, Louise Wampler; and brother, Donald Stephens.
Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home. Service will be Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at East Huntsville Church of Christ with Bill Cantrell, Donald Ramey, and Stan Hastings officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery.
