Faye Belew, 85, of Huntsville, passed away Tuesday. Mrs. Belew was born in Anderson, AL, and came to Huntsville to work for the telephone company. She then went to work for the Madison County Courthouse as Chief Telephone Operator for 30 years before retiring. Mrs. Belew attended Twickenham Church of Christ and later became a member of Mayfair Church of Christ.
Her family was her life. Survivors include her daughters, Pamela D. Matthews of Toney, and Tona L. Ryan of Huntsville; granddaughters, Tammy Matthews of Savannah, TN, and Ginger Dasher and husband, Patrick, of Plano, TX; great-grandchildren, Makenzie Matthews of Toney, Breandon Dasher and Olivia Dasher, both of Plano, TX; sisters, Inez Hood, Mattie Foster and husband, Bill, Shirley Anderson and husband, Russell, and Ann Dudley and husband, Bobby; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 12 noon to 2 p.m. Friday at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 in the chapel with Lincoln Smith officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
