Mrs. Wanda Gayle Parrish, 66, of Florence, passed away on Jan. 11, 2015. She was a longtime resident of Florence, retired from Central High School, and a member of Central Heights Baptist Church.
Visitation will be today from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Central Heights Baptist Church with the funeral following at 2 p.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Roger Houston and the Rev. Jim Warren. Burial will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Parrish was preceded in death by her parents, Raleigh and Virgie McIntire, and siblings, Helen and Harold McIntire.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Ricky Parrish; children, Melissa Adams (Craig), Molly Parrish, and Jessica Parrish; grandchildren, Emma Lee Adams and Piper Adams; and beloved nieces and great-nieces.
Pallbearers will be Jim Young, Pete Lambert, Jerry Sherrell, Johnny Daily, Harold Baskins, Herby Harrison, Don Harrison, and Larry Underwood.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses at ECM on the first and fifth floor, Amanda Byrd, Keshia Davidson, Tammy Gist, and Lindsey Green.
