Wade Townsley, age 55, of Loganville, Georgia, passed away Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015. Mr. Townsley is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Freda Townsley; daughter and son-in-law, Katie and Dustin Hurley; three granddaughters that he adored, Mady and twins, Savannah and Emma; father and mother, Rod and Myra Townsley; sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Anthony Chandler; sister-in-law, Cindy Chaney; and niece and nephew, Abbie and Denton Chandler.
Mr. Townsley was born in Florence, Alabama. He graduated from Central High School, class of 1977. He was employed with General Electric in management for many years until he opened his own electrical supply company, Lade Electric, in Tucker/Stone Mountain. He sold his company in 2007 and was enjoying retirement with his family and three precious grandchildren.He enjoyed golf, and being a member of Monroe Country Club, his lake home on Lake Martin, and Alabama football.
The funeral service to honor the life of Wade Townsley will be on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015, at 1 p.m. at Tom M. Wages, Snellville Chapel. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Susan G.
