Bobby Leon Green, 83 of Florence, died Thursday, January 8, 2015. Visitation will be Saturday, January 10, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. The funeral will be Sunday, January 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Macedonia Church of Christ, Central on Highway 20, with lying-in-state at 1:00-2:00. Arvy Dupuy, Donnie Allen and Sonny Hargett will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Canaan Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Green was a native of Savannah, TN and lifelong resident of the Smithsonia community. He was a farmer and a member of the Church of Christ at Macedonia. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Green; son, Jackie Green; grandchildren, Brad Green, Jacquen Green and Carlos Dabbs; and brother, D.A. Terry.
He is survived by children, Wayne, Ronald, Robbie and Mona Green; brothers, Loye, Junior and Ralph Green; sister, Frances Cole; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Chris Green, Ronnie Green, Garth Green, Kyle Green, Drew Green, Shane Green, Shannon Green and Tyler McKinney.
