Funeral service for Mary Lou Atkins, 90, will be Sunday, January 11, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Michael Gunter officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Bell Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, January 10, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Atkins died on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL. She was born June 6, 1924, in Lawrence County to George Colombus Cook and Nevada Dunnaway Cook. She was a homemaker, originally from Hartselle, and was preceded in death by her husband: Max Atkins, a son-in-law: Mike McDougal, a brother: Frank Cook and a grandson: Jeremy Atkins.
