Mary “ Evelyn” Threet, 86, of Florence, died Saturday January 3, 2015, at ECM Hospital. She was a member of Darby Drive church of Christ. Visitation will begin at 1pm today at Greenview Funeral Home followed by the service at 2pm in the chapel.
Preceding her in death were her husband, William J. Threet; parents, Walter and Lydia Castleberry; sister, Vera Beall; son-in-law, Tom Hazuda. She is survived by her daughters, Jan Hayes (Ed), Florence and Rebecca Hazuda, Birmingham; grandchildren, Ryan Stooksberry (Lori), Mt. Juliet, TN, Ann Nelson (Jason), Mary Lunceford (Denton), Vestavia, AL; great grandchildren, Gabe and Andrew Nelson , Liam, Sage and Lydia Lunceford.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Susan G. Komen North Central Alabama, 1909 27th Ave. South, Homewood, AL, 35209.
