Funeral service for Mrs. Roberta Hix Hayes, age 98, of Fayetteville, will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. at Parks City Baptist Church with Rev. Don Russell officiating. Burial will follow beside her husband Jack Hayes in Riverview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Hayes passed away Friday afternoon at Donalson Care Center.
A native of Moore County, she was the daughter of the late David Martin Hix and Rosa Ann Edgeman Hix, a homemaker, and a member of the Parks City Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughter Peggy H. Tuck and husband Bill of Fayetteville, son Eddie M. Hayes and wife Katie S. of Park City, grandchildren Tonya Lagle and husband Richard and Lee Tuck, great grandchildren Katelyn-Kathleen Marie Woodard and Jessica Marie Ball, 3 step-grandchildren and 1 step-great grandson, nephew Billy Wayne and nieces Bobbi and Jean, great nephew Ty Hix, great niece Misty Hix and sister-in-law Shelia Hix. Along with her parents, Mrs. Hayes was preceded in death by her husband Jack Hayes and grandchildren Jackie Hayes and Kathy Hayes Woodard and great grandson Jackson Hayes Woodard.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 1 until 2 p.m. at Parks City Baptist Church.
