Norma Ann Grubb Watkins, 76, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2014, at Huntsville Hospital after a short illness. She was born March 4, 1938, in Portsmouth, Ohio, to Norman J. and Dorothy Grubb. She graduated from Southern Adventist University in 1960, with a degree in Nursing and worked at Decatur General Hospital for 22 years, retiring in 1991. She was an active member of the Decatur Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Mrs. Watkins is preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, William Harrison Grubb and Norman Dale Grubb. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Charles L. Watkins, of Decatur; and one daughter, Alison Watkins, of Montclair, VA; two sisters, Rhonda Beswick (Bob), of Lakeland, FL and Sharon Angelle, of Haines City, FL; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, December 29, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tony Pitt officiating. A time of visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial at Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
