Funeral services for Adley Glenn Johnson will be at noon, Monday, December 29, 2014, at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel on Danville Rd., Decatur. Visitation with the family begins at 10 a.m. Rev. Gary Heathcock and Jeff Sellers of Ninth Street United Methodist Church will conduct the services. Music will be provided by Stacy and Allysa Donahoo and Ann Butler.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, and a niece. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Lucia Faye Johnson; a daughter, Lisa Turner(James); one nephew, and several cousins.
He retired 17 years ago from PAR Enterprises with former employment at Monsanto, Worthington, and Prestolite. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953. Mr. Johnson was an active member of Ninth St. United Methodist Church for the past 35 years. He was also a member of the American Legion and Decatur Elks Club.
The pallbearers are Ralph Ledbetter, Ronnie Edney, Stan Davis, Flavous and Don Johnson, Hal Cooper, J. Hugh Looney, and Tim Salter. The members of Semper Fidelis Sunday School Class are honorary pallbearers.
Roselawn Funeral Home is assisting the family.
