Karen Raper Bishop – Obituary

karen, 44, went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, December 23, 2014, from the North Mississippi Medical Center. She was born May 1, 1970, to Danny and Linda Raper. She worked several years at Berkline Furniture and was currently employed in janitorial services. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Marietta. She enjoyed going to the mountains and loved being around all her family. She especially loved her grandson Noah, the light of her life.

Services will be at 1 p. m. Friday, December 26, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. David Perry and Bro. Dempsey Rowland officiating. Burial will be in Kirkville Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Dewayne Bishop; one daughter, Kristin Bishop; one son, Josh Bishop, all of Mantachie; one step-daughter, Kelsey Phillips of Oregon; her grandson, Noah Pettigo; her father and mother, Danny and Linda Raper, of Mantachie; one brother, Rob Raper (Stephanie); a special uncle, Jack Raper; her in-laws, Danny and Joann Bishop of Marietta; a sister-in-law, Sherie Miller (Ricky); and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Ruby Smith, Beatrice Christian, and Clytee Stacks; her grandfathers, Homer Newcomb and Billy Raper; and her grandfather-in-law, Johnny Barnes.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Raper, Zack Elliff, Dewayne George, Rickey Miller, Eric Miller, and Nathaniel Miller.

Honorary pallbearers will be Noah Pettigo, employees of Thompson Machinery, employees of the Itawamba County Courthouse, and members of Boguefala Baptist Church.

Visitation will be from 10 a. m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
