Ford Malcolm Brown – Obituary

Mr. Ford Malcolm Brown, 90, passed away Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014, at his residence. Mr. Brown was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Florence, and a veteran of World War II, Pacific theater of operations, and the Korean War, having served in the Marine Corps. He was a retired sales representative for the fashion industry.
Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, from noon to 1 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Wayne Hicks. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.
Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Bertha Brown; brothers, Marion Samuel Brown and Vernon Roy Brown; sisters, Faye Brown McCulloch and Lucille Brown Sheats; nephews, Rodney McCulloch and Mike Sheats.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Gloria Peters Brown; son, Steven Ford Brown, of Boston, Mass.; daughter, Stephanie Brown Jacobson, of Palm Bay, Florida; sister, Nolene E. Brown, of Decatur; niece, Belinda McCulloch Lavender, of Decatur; great-nephew, Justin Martin, of Seattle, Washington.
