Annie Lou Vandiver, 78, of Jackson
Mrs. Vandiver passed away Thursday evening, December 18, 2014, at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

She was the daughter of the late Levi and Minnie Mays Lowrance. A native of Hornsby, she lived her early years there before moving to Jackson in 1964. She married Mr. Raymond Laverne Vandiver on July 26, 1953. They were married for 56 years before his passing on January 11, 2010. She worked as a homemaker and in her spare time enjoyed reading and cooking, especially making biscuits on a wood stove.

She leaves a daughter, Kathy Diane Rouse of Medina; sons, Donald Steven Vandiver and Ronnie Lee Vandiver, both of Jackson; brothers, R. C. Lowrance of Jackson and Rufus Lowrance of Memphis; grandchildren, Steven Vandiver, Patricia Jackson, Amy Vandiver, Kim and Branddon Rouse; and 12 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Patty Vandiver, Lucille Vandiver and Dorothy Dean; and 3 brothers, Rayburn, Odell and Edbert Lowrance.
