, 65, of Iuka, Mississippi, died at her residence, Friday, December 5, 2014 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was affectionately known as Nana, and was extremely proud of her grandchildren. She enjoyed Poppy’s flowers and garden, canning vegetables, making her famous salsa with her grandkids, fishing, and reading. She was a loyal 32 year employee of Iuka Guaranty Bank and BancorpSouth and longtime fixture in downtown Iuka. She loved her co-workers and customers as her family. She missed them dearly during her battle. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. Visitation is scheduled for 5 until 8 PM on Sunday, December 7 at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 AM on Monday, December 8, 2014, at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Phil Dawson. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jeremy Linton, Joel Lewis, Lee Peery, Bryan Southward, Jimmy Strong, and Ben Sand. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with arrangements. Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Earl Carson of Iuka; 2 sons – Keith Carson (Trina) of Bentonville, AR and Kenny Carson of Iuka; 1 brother – Jerry Linton (Lydia) of Iuka; 5 grandchildren – Lewis Carson, Eli Carson, Ella Carson, Kennedy Carson, and Kaddisy Carson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Grady E. “Bunk” Linton and Ruby Clark Linton.
