lacy250Funeral service for Charles Ralph Lacy, age 86, of Manchester, TN, will be conducted Monday at 10 a.m. at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Adams and Bro. Jim Rolen officiating. Burial will
follow in Blanche Cemetery.
Mr. Lacy was born June 4, 1928 in Taft, Tennessee. Until recently Ralph was blessed to be a healthy, active 86 year old.
He was married on August 24, 1946 to Estelle Marie Monks and celebrated 68 years of marriage in 2014. The Lacy’s moved to Michigan in 1950, retiring from General Motors in 1981. Ralph was saved at his home in 1959, was active in church, and served as Church Treasurer of Zion Missionary Baptist Church for 25 years. He was also a Mason and a Shriner. The couple relocated back to Tennessee in 2001 where he is a current member of Calvary Baptist Church in Manchester, Tenessee. For greater than 25 years, the couple has annually spent the winter months in Florida.
Along with his wife, Mr. Lacy is survived by three children: Judy Rayetta Lacy Perry, David Ralph (Brenda Kay) Lacy, and Douglas Howard Lacy. Four grandchildren: Michele Marie Perry, Robin Renee Perry, Scott David (Jennifer) Lacy, and Jeffrey Alan (Michelle) Lacy, four great grandchildren: A.J., Jeremy, Raegan, and Joe. He is preceded in death by both parents, Bessie Frances Locke and Tracey Pratt Lacy and two siblings J.H. Lacy and Doris Jean Neece.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 12 until 6 p.m. at Higgins Funeral Home.
