Funeral service for Shirley Dodds Poole, 45, of Trinity will be at Parkway Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. with the funeral immediately following at 1 p.m. Burial will be in East Lawrence Memorial Gardens.
Shirley died Sunday, November 30, 2014. She was born April 12, 1969, to Donnie and Sarah Dodds of Decatur. Her mother preceded her in death.
She is survived by one son, Justin Tyler Poole (Megan); one granddaughter, Jaida Tyler Poole; one brother, Michael Dodds of Moulton and one sister, Ashley Dodds of Decatur.
Shirley attended Austin High School graduating in 1987. She worked at The Catfish Restaurant for many years until its closing. Her current employment had been as a certified technician for Trinity Discount Drugs for the past eight years. If you ever met her, you would never forget the gentle affection and professional skills she had.
The love of her life was her son, Justin, and then the wonderful bundle of joy to receive a beautiful granddaughter, December 2, 2013.
Shirley will be with us always. She was born an angel and has returned to God to take her rightful place with God and be our guardian angel watching over us.
We all love you so much Shirley. You will always be in our hearts.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
