Lowell-Billy-Landers-1417508839Retired Sgt. Lowell “Billy” Landers Jr., of Leighton, Alabama, died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family. Visitation will be today, 6-9 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. His funeral service will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Cowboy Church of Colbert County with Truman Sutton officiating. His body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Poplar Creek Cemetery.

Billy was an avid bass fisherman, hunter, and Alabama football fan, “Roll Tide.” He was retired from the Alabama National Guard, Signal Battalion 115th and was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Brown Landers, and grandparents, Lassie and Comer Landers.

Survivors include his wife, Tammy Landers; sons, Josh Landers (Britney) and Brandon Ham (Carrie); daughters, Nikki Carter (Gabe), Jesse Trexler (Jason), and Jeannie Pearson (David); his father, Lowel Landers Sr.; sisters, Sharon Dudka (Paul) and Dewonia Cowan (Bobby); his pride and joy, his grandkids, Michaela, Rachel, Jayden, Jacobi, Lani, Conner, Brayden, Abbie, and Cameron; the mother of three of his children, Chrys Landers; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Pallbearers are David Pearson, Josh Landers, Brandon Ham, Jacobi Carter, Gabe Carter, Jason Darby, and Paul Dudka.
