Funeral service for Mable Mary Whitten Brown, age 86, of Hartselle will be today, December 1, 2014, at 2:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brad Sheets officiating, with burial in the Hartselle City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Brown, who died on Saturday, November 29, 2014, in Hartselle, was born July 14, 1928, in Marion County to Marvin and Dora Revis Whitten. She was a cook at Falkville Nursing Home and was preceded in death by her husband, William Dewey Brown.
She is survived by two sons, David Brown, of Arley and Michael Brown, of Canada; two daughters, Deborah Woods, of Hartselle and Brenda Welch, of Crane Hill; one sister, Willadean Hall, of Birmingham; 14 grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren.
Quinn Woods, Chad Welch, Nicholas Bails, Heath Taylor, Michael Welch and Samuel Miller will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association .
