HARTSELLE-The Hartselle Police Department has made an arrest in a rash of auto burglaries in the city since September 2014. Here is how the Hartselle Police describe events leading up to the arrest:
“The Hartselle Police Department has been investigating several reports of auto burglaries within the city that has been occurring since September, 2014. During the investigation, Jeremy Taylor, age 41 of Hartselle, AL, was developed as a person of interest in connection to some of the reported auto burglaries.
Taylor was questioned at the Hartselle Police Department on 11/18/2014, and was later charged with three (3) counts of Burglary of an Auto. Investigators charged Taylor in connection with Auto Burglaries that occurred at the Hartselle Athletic Club on September 3, 2014, Kroger on November 7, 2014 and East Highland Baptist Church on November 16, 2014. Taylor was given a bond of $25,000 for each count for a total of $75,000.00.
The investigation is still on-going and further charges could be filed in relation to other auto burglaries that occurred during this time period. Hartselle PD wants to remind citizens to always secure vehicles and keep valuables hidden out of sight.”
