, age 78, of Florence passed away Thursday, November 13, 2014 Visitation will be Sunday, November 16, 1:30-3:30 P.M. at Spry~Williams Funeral Home, Florence. The service will follow at 3:30 P.M. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Ronny Jones officiating. There will be a graveside service on Monday, November 17, 11:00 A.M. at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Corey & Rusty Murks, Butch Murphy, Gene Blazer, Larry McCluskey and James Jackson. Kyler & Parker Murks will serve as honorary pallbearers. Ruth was a member of First Baptist Church, Center Star where she was a choir member. She was also a member of Elks Lodge of Florence and was retired from Ford Motor Co. as a quality control inspector. She was an avid supporter of St. Jude Children’s Hospital She was preceded in death by her husband, Novice Murks; parents, Oscar & Gladys Campbell and sister, Joyce Holden.
