Susie Matilda Stringer Burrow, age 95, born Dec. 10, 1918, Mt. Zion Community in Cherokee, Ala. entered the gates of Heaven Nov. 11, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, James Ernest Burrow; parents James Barton and Mary Susan Crowell Stringer; grandson, Gregory Burrow; great-grandson, Eric Blake Harris, brothers, Alvie Stringer, Roscoe Stringer, Alexander Stringer; sisters, Lillian Pounders and Ellen Hester.
Survivors include sons, Don Burrow (Jenny), Kenneth Burrow (Deb); daughters, Anne Harris (Bill), Linda Broaddrick (Gerald), Sandra Freeman (Ricky), Rita Skelton (Eddie); grandchildren who lovingly called her “MawMaw Till”, David Burrow (Sherry), Gayla Pounders, Darlene Townsend (Will), Danita Lindsey, Jason Harris (Jada), Jeremy Harris (Jin), Bambi Carswell (Chris), Patrick Freeman, Gabrielle Freeman, Consuela Rice (Jeff) Shon Ritch (Myra), Ryan Ritch, Justin White, Noah White (Christy), Jonah White and friend, Mia Jackson; great-grandchildren, Gregg Burrow (Shoko), Ashley Burrow, Dallas Burrow, Grace Burrow, Jessie Burrow, Ethan Burrow, Jessica Haddock (Joe), Ramsey Harris (Kristen), Taylor Harris, Madeline Harris, Isabelle Harris, Tanner Lindsey, Brady Townsend, Cooper Townsend, Lewis Campbell, Olivia Rice, Hadden Carswell, Millie Carswell, Annabelle Ritch, Shiloh Ritch, Wriley Ritch, Hayden White; great-great-grandson, Preston Haddock; several nieces and nephews that call her “Aunt Till”.
The visitation will be Thursday, November 13, 2014, 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. Funeral service will be Friday, 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Danny Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery, Phil Campbell.
