Timothy Allen Taylor, 47, of Decatur passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2014, at his residence. Tim was a graduate of Austin High School and was of the Baptist faith. He loved to fish and deer hunt with his son-in-law and dad. Tim was an automotive mechanic and worked in construction work and as a cotton truck driver. He loved spending time with his grandson and granddaughter. Tim is preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Mattie Parker, Curtis and Ruby Taylor.
Tim is survived by his parents, Woody and Betty Taylor of Decatur; daughter, Veronica and husband, Dusty Ransom of Decatur; sister, Valerie Combs; nephew, Dylan Combs; and two grandchildren, Zaiden Timothy Ransom and Mattie Mae Ransom.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, November 9, 2014, at 3 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joey Tucker and Bro.Rich Thompson officiating. A time of gathering with the family will be Sunday afternoon from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the funeral home with burial at Roselawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Loyal Parker, Steven Parker, Sonny Taylor, Dewayne Gray, Winfred Turner and Scotty Holley.
