Ann Ovell Floyd Jones, of the West Point Community in Cullman County, passed away on November 6, 2014, at Falkville Health Care Center at the age of 83. She was born in Cullman on May 13, 1931, to James Elbert and Mary Hanvey Floyd. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 61 years, Anthony Nelson Jones; one son, Ron Jones; three brothers, Melvin, Bert and Tony Floyd; one sister, Myrl Floyd Greene.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved her family, church family, friends and neighbors. She had a great love in her heart for others and she never met a stranger. She was a lifetime member of Liberty Methodist Church and proud to say she was also the oldest member of that church. She had been a resident of Falkville Health Care Center for two years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to all of the staff and caregivers at the nursing home. She loved them dearly, as they did her.
