HUNTSVILLE– The Tennessee Valley Authority has issued a traffic caution during transmission line work across Memorial Parkway near Byrd Springs Road.
Transmission line construction crews will be installing transmission lines over the road from Friday, Nov. 7 through Sunday, Nov. 9. Work is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. CST each day. The 500-foot-long, 161-kilovolt line will power Huntsville Utilities’ upgraded Byrd Springs Substation.
Motorists should proceed with caution on Memorial Parkway near the
intersection of Byrd Springs Road, where crane trucks will be located on each side of the road to keep the lines off the road and above traffic. Traffic control personnel and signs will be present during work hours.
