SHOALS – From the looks of things, Democrat House Members,Marcel Black and Johnny mack Morrow are now endangered species in Alabama politics. Even though Black and Morrow won their races handily over political newcomer Republicans, most of the other Democrats in the state got beaten.

State Senator District 6 – Roger Bedford -D, lost to Dr. Larry Stutts-R
Representative District 1 – Greg Burdine-D lost to Phillip Pettus-R
Representative District 2 – Andy Betterton-D lost to Lynn Greer-R
State Senator District 4 – Angelo Mancuso-D lost to Paul Bussman-R
State Senator District 7 – Bryan Bennett-D lost to Paul Sanford-R
State Senator District 8 – Horace Clemmons-D lost to Steve Liviingston-R
State Senator District 10- Larry Means-D lost to Phil Williams-R
Representative District 5 – Henry A White-D lost to Dan Williams-R
The Republican route continued throughout the State.

Lauderdale County Sheriff is won by Rick Singleton.
Colbert County Sheriff is won by Frank Williamson.
