James Elvert Potter – Obituary

James Elvert Potter, 88, of Russellville, passed away Friday, October 31, 2014, at Russellville Hospital.

Mr. Potter was a native of Lawrence County, Alabama, but had lived most of his life in Franklin County. He was a member and deacon of Cherry Hill Baptist Church and was retired from Ford Motor Company.

The funeral service will be Monday, November 3, 2014, at 2:00 p.m., at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Russellville, with burial in Cherry Hill Cemetery. Officiating will be Phillip Potter and Jim Johnson. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 p.m., until 2:00 p.m.

Survivors include wife, Marie Potter; son, Preston Potter, Russellville; brother, Edison Potter; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, C.J. and Margaret Potter; son, Richard Potter; sisters, Alice Owens, Mae Lawirmore, Eula Witt, and Helen Hood; brothers, W.T. Potter, C.J. Potter, Jr., Hubie Potter, Herman Potter, Sherman Potter, Claude Potter, Percy Potter and Corbet Potter
