Funeral service for Billy Ray Steel, 65, will be Sunday, November 2, 2014 at 1:30 PM at in the Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rodney Ridgeway officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery (South of Danville). Visitation will be Saturday, November 1, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mr. Steel died on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at his residence. He was born February 10, 1949, in Morgan County to Charlie Joseph Steel and Thelma Lee Smith Steel. Billy was a life-long farmer and was retired from Monsanto/ Solutia and the Lawrence County Exchange Co-op. He was preceded in death by his son: Timothy Ray Steel and his parents.
