John W. (Bill) Adomyetz, 85, Killen, passed from this life October 22, 2014.
Visitation will be October 24, 2014 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the Elkins East Funeral Home, Center Star, Alabama. Services immediately following in the chapel. Burial will be in the Killen Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Nell, of 62 years; daughter, Gail Smith; son, Kenny Adomyetz (Wanda); granddaughter, Michelle Hannah (Chris); grandson, Ben Adomyetz (Kaiti); and 5 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Idell Adomyetz; brother, Charles Adomyetz; and great-grandson, Landon Hannah.
He was a member of the Killen United Methodist Church, served in the U.S. Army, and is a Korean War Veteran.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Pennington, Ronnie Pennington, Dave Adomyetz, Rickey Posey, Tony Ricketts, and Chris Hannah. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Sunday School Class #10 and Rct Ben Adomyetz First Bn Delta Co.
The family thanks ECM Hospital and the AlaCare Hospice staff for their care and support. Special thanks is given to Dr. Bachofer, Lauren, Yolanda, Raveen, Janelle, June, and Ida for all their compassionate attention.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Killen United Methodist Church Food Ministry.
